This year has certainly started with a healthy supply of purchasers from first time buyers to purchasers looking to move house, either to upscale or downsize.   There has also been a high demand for bungalows within Charnwood and the surrounding villages. 

As we kick into Spring, the month of March always sees a lot of home owners looking to move and we see an upsurge in people putting their homes up for sale; this keeps the market buoyant enabling vendors to maintain their property’s true value.

With a combination of highly reputable schools, sustainable village amenities, beautiful landscapes and parks, the villages in and around Charnwood certainly offer suitable and desirable homes for all buyers of all ages. Last year saw unprecedented house price increases and this year there is no reason that house prices will remain comparable, however, we are seeing a slight increase in the first quarter. 

With this in mind, we stress the importance of using an experienced and proactive Estate Agent with a sound local knowledge.  The ability to professionally see not just the sale of a home, but the whole sales process, all the way through to completion.  We believe that clear and honest lines of communication are imperative at all times too – for both the vendor and the purchaser.
